Let her talk. Let her say how she feels. As humans, sometimes we just need to be heard without interruption. Give her time to do so.
Be there when possible. The lives and schedules of parents have never been busier, but being present for your girl is important. However inaccurate, a girl can think if a parent puts a higher priority on something, it means the parent values it more than her. If you have to miss something, explain it ahead of time. Girls are smart and typically understanding.
Is she crying hysterically over something you think isn't a big deal? No matter what you think, or the validity you put on a given circumstance, value what she is feeling. Letting her know what is important to her, is important to you, can help establish trust and security.
Girls are being judged by everyone. Establish a relationship where your girl is free to be herself, without the fear of being judged. Create a safe space where she can make mistakes. If established, when it comes time as a parent, to correct or teach, she'll be more open to listening.
Encourage. Uplift. Pour into your girl. Everything about the world is trying to tear her down. Parents must be diligent in purposefully and repeatedly, encouraging girls with positive messages.
