Her Light Shines Bright formed a club for girls!
The Bright Lights Club is an afterschool club for girls. As preteen and teen girls face considerable challenges during their middle school years, the Bright Lights Club was created to support and encourage them through these times. At each meeting, leaders focus on addressing issues like friendship, relationships, character, and conflict; all with biblical based truths and application. The girls are encouraged to be kind, positive, encouraging, gentle, and different.
To learn, grow, and serve for the betterment of the school community & the body of Christ!
"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. But above all these things put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." Colossians 3:12
In the darkness, her light shines bright.
In our actions...
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:23
In our speech...
“Kind words are like honey, sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.” Prov. 16:34
"Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.” Phillipians 4:8
"Encourage one another and
build each other up.”
1 Thes. 5:11
"Be swift to hear, slow to speak,
slow to wrath." James 1:9
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2
Everyone has heard of the phrase "Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt you", but we all know that is so not true! Words hurt. Words have lasting effects. We must be diligent in recognizing the impact of what we say to others.
Life is hard and it can be full of rejection. The more we realize that not everyone is going to like us, the more we accept that that's ok. Is it easy? No. Does it hurt? Yes. We must put value in the creator, the only one who loves and accepts us completely.
The bible doesn't say we have to be friends with everyone, but it does say we should be friendly to everyone. Jesus' squad was small, but he was friendly to many.
We would love to come along side you!
Whether you are a girl interested in starting a club for your friends,
or an adult/parent/admin wanting to help teen and tween girls at your school...
The Bright Lights Club is for you!
