Girls Today

The mental health of girls today is declining. One of the biggest factors? Media influence. The use of technology and social media has disrupted our girls from developing adequate social and emotional habits important for mental well-being. Things like healthy sleeping, problem solving, interpersonal skills, and managing emotions. Those risk factors directly relate to the outcome of their mental health.

What is it like? Imagine being bombarded everyday by images that make you feel insecure, imperfect, left out, different and depressed. That's what our girls are exposed to, and that is what we are up against, as advocates for girls. HLSB was created to provide girls with content that encourages, uplifts, and instills truth. Like our tagline suggests, we want to be a light in the darkness.
